Our People: Our employees are what makes Paws and Play such a special company. We only hire true animal lovers who enjoy nothing more than working with your pet.  We specifically look for individuals who have a positive outlook on life and who take great satisfaction in helping others.

We are extremely selective in whom we hire.   Each  applicant  must meet specific requirements  before even being asked in for an  interview.  All  handlers go through formal  training  including  six  hours of  Professional Dog Training and Behavior which they are then tested on.  All new  handlers are under the direct supervision of  team leaders who are there to help and guide them.

We understand that your pet is like a child to you.  That is why we treat our  hiring and training processes as though we are hiring child care  professionals rather than just someone to walk dogs or feed cats.

Extra Attention:  Do your pets need extra attention?   We have the time to give them all the  tender  loving  care and attention  they need.   Unlike some others who try to cram  as  many  pet sits or dog walks into a single day as they can,  our employees are  strictly limited on the amount of clients they are allowed to see each day.   This policy  not only keeps our employees  happy,  but your pets are  happier  too!    We have found that keeping work as stress free and enjoyable as possible for our employees definitely results in a much more positive experience for your pets.

Safety:  We are committed to providing your pets with a safe and enjoyable experience.  At Paws and Play the ratio of dogs to handlers for our Exercise and Group Playtimes is never more than three to four (small) dogs per handler.   Beware of other services which take out  6 to 8  dogs at a time.   There is no way to safely  control such a large amount of dogs.

Customized Services:  Whether  we are  providing group exercise and play times, in home pet care, overnight house and pet sitting, or other services,  they will be tailored  to your  specific needs.   No two homes or pets are exactly alike.  That is why we have extensive services.  We cover things like medical conditions, pet habits and behaviors,  feeding times, feeding instructions,  water sources, kitty hiding places,  medications, oral, injected and topical, home security measures, trash day, what to do with mail, newspapers,  packages, plants that need care,  people with access to your home,  your veterinarian, etc.

Peace of Mind:  Physically we may be walking or taking care of your pets,  but our purpose  is much more than that.   We know how our actions affect the lives around us.   Our  clients are  always  expressing  the peace of mind they feel  because  they know we are taking care of their home and precious pets while they are gone.  They tell us  how  grateful  they are for our services and how they do not know what they would do without us. We realize our services have become an important part of their pet's lives as well as a necessity to their humans.  Our goal is to keep that trust.

Dependability:  If your regular handler is out sick or on vacation, we will have someone that can  cover for him or her.  You can  always  depend  on us to be there when you need us.

We are professionals:  We are a professional pet care company.    We are licensed, bonded and insured. We are members of Pet Sitters International and  Pet Sitters Associates.   These memberships assure a record of  the  quality  of  our  services,  a set of quality standards, and a code of ethics.
